Four programs anchor everything Grand Shores Dental Hygienists Association does for its members and the communities of West Michigan.
Accredited Continuing Education
Quarterly clinical seminars, technical workshops, and evening lectures covering advanced periodontics, local anesthesia protocols, infection control, ergonomics, and digital clinical technologies.
Scope of Practice & Advocacy
In synergy with state and national dental hygiene organizations, we monitor legislative developments, promoting public health supervision and expanded access to preventative care for vulnerable populations.
Student Mentorship & Academic Support
We collaborate with local college dental hygiene programs to mentor hygiene students and recent graduates, offering guidance on board examination prep, career pathways, and clinical transitioning.
Community Outreach & Public Screening
Our members volunteer at local health fairs, community centers, and school programs, delivering free oral health assessments, preventative fluoride treatments, and interactive hygiene instruction to children and seniors.
